Brandi Mills, DVM

Veterinarian

Dr. Brandi grew up in North Eastern Kentucky. Her interest in animals started early in life. Most of her childhood revolved around riding horses as her ‘Papaw’ was a horse trader and many of her weekends were spent horse camping with family and friends. Dr. Brandi graduated from Berea College in Berea, Ky in 2014 with a Bachelor’s of Art in Education. She was a first generation high school and college graduate amongst her family. Shortly after graduation, she moved to the Knoxville area. It wasn’t until after Dr. Brandi moved to Knoxville that she found her love for veterinary medicine.

Through teaching horseback riding lessons to children, she was introduced to Dr. Meg and Dr. Frank Davis in 2014. Later that year, she began working for them. The Davis’ trained her as a veterinary assistant and she grew to love the field. A year later, she made the decision to pursue veterinary school. She went back to school and continued to work at Karns Animal Clinic throughout her studies.

Dr. Brandi graduated from the University of Tennessee College of Veterinary Medicine in 2023. She is so excited to join the team at Karns with her mentors that fostered her passion for the field, along with the clients and pets that she has come to know and love over the years. Her special interests in veterinary medicine include soft tissue surgery, equine and farm animal ambulatory work and equine lameness. She also has a special interest in client and student education. In her spare time, she still enjoys horse camping with family and friends.
