Jessica Foster, DVM

Veterinarian

Dr. Jessica Foster grew up on a small farm in Maynardville, Tennessee where her passion for animal care was sparked at a young age. Dr. Meg and Dr. Frank Davis were her family’s veterinarians, and they invited her to shadow at Karns Animal Clinic to see what a veterinary clinic was like when she was an early teen. She began volunteering at KAC in the fall of 2012 and became employed shortly after where she worked as a veterinary assistant and receptionist summers and weekends during high school, college, and part of veterinary school.

Dr. Foster attended the University of Tennessee, Knoxville for both her undergraduate and veterinary school studies. She received her BS in Animal Science Pre-Veterinary Medicine in 2019, and then she transitioned into veterinary school at the University of Tennessee College of Veterinary Medicine where she graduated the spring of 2023. Through her studies, Dr. Foster
has developed special interests in the areas of small animal internal medicine, dermatology, diagnostic imaging, and soft tissue surgery. She looks forward to expanding her knowledge in all aspects of veterinary medicine!

Dr. Foster currently lives in Knoxville with her dog (Waldo), cat (Eloise), and three chickens (Jocelyn, Salt, and Runt). In her free time, she enjoys gardening, hiking, completing projects around the house, and hanging out with friends and family.

Dr. Foster is thrilled to take on this new role at the clinic that started it all over 10 years ago! She strives to promote client education and to provide the best care for whatever critters come through the clinic doors.
